Why Spaces for Connection Matter

People are wired for connection. Across all ages and walks of life, we thrive when we feel a sense of belonging — when we have places to gather, share stories, create together, and build relationships.

Research consistently shows that strong social ties are among the most powerful indicators of individual and community wellbeing. Communities with strong relationships are more resilient, more collaborative, and better able to navigate challenges together.

And yet spaces designed for everyday connection are becoming increasingly rare. That’s why we created Full Circle Commons.

Support Full Circle Commons

Full Circle Commons is a nonprofit community commons in Gardiner, NY that stewards spaces where people gather, create, learn, and build relationships.

Your support sustains the programs, partnerships, and shared spaces that bring people together and strengthen the social fabric of our community - helping keep programming accessible while caring for the places where these connections happen.

In the past year, Full Circle Commons has hosted over 200 gatherings across more than 40 distinct programs, welcoming over 3,500 total attendees.

Programming has included live music, wellness classes, arts workshops, community dialogues, seasonal markets, family events, and civic gatherings — many offered free or on a sliding scale to expand access and participation. We have also partnered with eight nonprofit and charitable organizations, supporting mission-aligned initiatives and collaborative community efforts.

Through recurring programs and special events alike, the Commons has become a year-round gathering place for creativity, connection, and shared civic life in Gardiner, NY.
