Life As Studio
Life As Studio with Emily Fitzgerald
Life as Studio — a six-week creative making program at Full Circle Gardiner, for people who keep meaning to make something.
Here's what Life as Studio actually means: the overheard conversation, the way the sun shines on the Shawanagunk in the spring morning, the mug that holds your morning coffee, the thing that happened last Tuesday....all of it is inspo. Your life, in all its ordinary and extraordinary detail, is already full of things we can use to inspire creativity. Your Life is a Studio.
Over six weeks we'll make paint brushes from foraged materials, dye fabric with plants, design and gel print collage papers, weave on tiny looms, and carve out a visual signature that's entirely yours, held in an artist book you bind by hand.
No experience needed. No competition. Just making, thinking, and a small community of people doing the same.
Every session you leave with something you made and a prompt to take back into your week — to notice, collect, and respond to your life as it actually is. That's the studio. It was always there.
Six sessions. All materials included. Free Life as Studio member merch when you sign up. A private view of everyone's work to close and an online community to keep the momentum in between sessions.
When: Six Week Session 4/20, 4/27, 5/04, 5/11, 5/25, 6/1 | 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Where: The Trailside Lounge at Full Circle | 297 Bruynswick Rd. Gardiner, NY 12525
Sustaining Rate - $35. or $210/6 This is the true cost of the class. Choosing this rate supports fair pay for facilitators and helps sustain The Living Room’s programming and operating expenses.
Community Supported Rate - $20 or $120/6 This lower rate is offered for those who would benefit from financial flexibility. If paying the standard rate would be difficult right now, please feel welcome to select this option. No explanation is ever required — we trust our community to choose the rate that feels appropriate.
Pay-it-Forward Rate - $40 or $240/6 This rate includes a contribution that helps make classes more accessible to others in our community. Choosing this option directly supports someone who may not otherwise be able to participate.
