Wander Valley's First Summer Camp!
Join us for a week of wonder in nature!
Wander Valley is a homeschool nature co-op in Ulster & Orange Counties run by two sister-in-laws on a mission to bring nature-based learning to families. As a culmination of our first year of wanderings, gaining over 18 new families without countless memories made, we've decided to embark on our first family-oriented summer camp at Full Circle in Gardiner, NY!
Wander & Wonder is a gentle, joyful camp experience rooted in the rhythms of the earth and inspired by the Waldorf and Charlotte Mason philosophies. Each morning, families gather outdoors to connect with the natural world through seasonal songs, storytelling, movement, and mindful exploration. Children are invited to engage with the land through guided nature walks, living literature, handcrafts, and free play that nurtures imagination and deepens their sense of place. The final day will bring together all the nature studies we've completed in celebration of each child!
We will explore and study a new nature theme each day:
Monday - Trees & Forest
Tuesday - Rocks, Mud & Minerals
Wednesday - Wildflowers & Pollinators
Thursday - Rivers & Ponds
Friday - Earth & Gratitude
This is a family-centered program with space for both parent-child participation and community building for families in a safe, nurturing environment.
Together, we will:
Sing and move with the morning sun
Listen to living stories rooted in nature and enjoy tea & snacks
Observe and wonder during gentle nature walks
Create simple handwork using natural materials
Enjoy free play and time to connect
This program is intentionally family-oriented, slow-paced, and sensory-rich. We've designed to support young children in grounding themselves in rhythm, beauty, and belonging without leaving out any siblings.
